This lets you know that, while you might not think you want that Gas Canister, it actually contains oil that you’ve been needing for a while. What does this mean though? Essentially, from that point on, when you are looking at something that can break down into the resource you marked, it will be displayed with a magnifying glass next to it. This will automatically mark only the resources you are missing as a searched item. If you have something you want to build that requires items you don’t have, say a generator needing oil and copper, then hit the button displayed at the bottom to mark it as searched. Lead is a crucial resource, and having plenty of it is never a bad thing. These are ideal locations for you to visit often during your travels in Fallout 76.
